Images for Vision Project

The team at Cygnet were approached by Lincolnshire based photographer Peter D Barton, to plan a PR campaign for his upcoming photo exhibition.

The Images for Vision photo exhibition was set up to raise money for the 20|20|20 charity to raise money for sight-seeing operations.

Working on the Images for Vision campaign was a great experience and learning curve for the project team at Cygnet. The exhibition was a unique event and one cygnet had embarked on before.

The campaign process was very exciting, allowing us to get hands on with the project and gain valuable experience. Due to the client being un-familiar with the field of PR, it allowed the team to steer the project and insert a great input to the campaign.

The team helped create awareness of the event through social media platforms and contacting local news organisations in Lincoln. We were given the opportunity to attend client meetings, create campaign timelines, write press releases and write feature articles.

It allowed us to engage with local businesses in Lincoln, arranging potential donations and sponsors for the exhibition. The team also carried out research into relevant businesses in Lincoln, in which we would then drop flyers off to.

After months of planning and lots of hard work, the exhibition came to life, with a great turnout, which was a very rewarding experience for the team.

Overall, the campaign and exhibition were a success, £1345 was raised for the 20|20|20 through donations and purchases of the photographs. We were delighted and honoured to of helped Peter Barton raise money for such a good cause.
