The Public Relations

Society

The public relations society aims to bring those together who share a passion for the industry of public relations. The society focuses on engaging, networking and building relationships with individuals and professional individuals.

The society is a balance of academic affairs, networking and socialising. The society host a range of networking events and workshops, such as CV building and employability workshops. The society aspires to build the bridge between undergraduate students and the PR industry itself, by engaging with public relations bodies, agencies and practitioners. With the help of the university, the society have hosted a range guest speakers from the industry; such as practitioners at the CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the PRCA (Public Relations Communications Association).

Socials will also be held for members, such as themed events, quizzes and activities. Including socials which will be held with other societies such as Journalism and English, allowing members to socialise and network with a range of different people.
