International Students
Studying abroad in Lincoln has been nothing
short of inspiring. I have learned that it is not
necessarily what you know but how you know
it that plays a key role in shaping your
perspective. Here, classes are structured
differently, subject matter is taught differently
and content is tailored to the industry of the
country. Needless to say, while I am learning
things similar to my education in the states everything is unfamiliar. While I understood that the public relations industry would be different in England, I would have never been able to grasp the structure of the industry without coming here.

At University of Lincoln the tutors are eager to explain and educate to their students. They are constantly able to relate learning material to their real life experiences making class more interesting. The campus is just a short walk from all the popular spots to shop and hangout making it feel integrated with the town.

The town of Lincoln is enriched in history while also offering modern architecture and amenities. I found this contrast to be quite enchanting. Being able to take in the modern design of campus from the computer lab minutes before sitting in the courtyard of a 12th century cathedral to study is something I could never do at home. As if a medieval cathedral is not enough, one can always walk the walls of a roman castle located near the center of town.

I have found the locals of Lincoln to be incredibly nice, constantly offering tips on where to eat and how to travel on a student budget. The sense of community here is something that I will miss greatly. I encourage everyone to study somewhere new even if it is just for a semester.
